DEC 21, 2012 ARE WE DOOMED???

Are we doomed? Will the world end on Dec 21 2012? Will that date be the end of the world as we know it?

With December 21, 2012 approaching us fast, right around the corner, these are the questions a lot of people of  the world are worried about right now. So I thought this would be a good topic to blog about today. To maybe shed some light on the issue for some of you that are so concerned about this being our dooms day. I will give my personal beliefe about this subject and I will give some researched information on this subject.

My personal believe of course will be concluded on my belief in the lord. And honestly I'm surprised to see how many of you out there who claim to believe in god actually believe this theory. I've read what the Bible says about Judgement Day. I understood it as only God knows when this will be...that not even the angels know. Matthew 24:36 And I also come from a very religious family and we were always taught at a early age that no man will know the end of times. Matthew 24:42 says, "Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming". And one of my favorite quotes from the bible that I have always remember from being brought up in a religious family, Matthew 24:14 "And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come". This quote of course means to me that no matter if you believe or not, weather you choose to follow the word or not, you will acknowledge that the lord is god and the belief in the spirit of god will be proclaimed by everyone in the world before the end takes over us.  Do you know how many people in the world still don't believe or even care to acknowledge the existence of the lord. I believe that when the end does come, most of us will already be dead and gone.

Now to look at this thing from a scientist point of view is just as much as a joke to me as their belief of how the world begin, With atoms and energy and the big bang theory. Now I'm not a science and I'm sure that some of there research is actually accurate. But my personal opinion again and coming from a religious aspect of it, how did all the big bang theory and the atoms and energy and all that start to exist in the first place? It had to come from some kind of other source. So if you believe as that being the sole source of our existence then it had to be created from something. And that's where the lord comes into play.

Sorry, didn't mean to get so far off subject. I think one of the most important sources we could get some questions answered about doom's day December 21, 2012 would be from the space experts thiers self, NASA. So below is a group of Q & A from the NASA website. http://www.nasa.gov/topics/earth/features/2012.html

Question (Q): Are there any threats to the Earth in 2012? Many Internet websites say the world will end in December 2012.

Answer (A):The world will not end in 2012. Our planet has been getting along just fine for more than 4 billion years, and credible scientists worldwide know of no threat associated with 2012.

Q: What is the origin of the prediction that the world will end in 2012?

A: The story started with claims that Nibiru, a supposed planet discovered by the Sumerians, is headed toward Earth. This catastrophe was initially predicted for May 2003, but when nothing happened the doomsday date was moved forward to December 2012 and linked to the end of one of the cycles in the ancient Mayan calendar at the winter solstice in 2012 -- hence the predicted doomsday date of December 21, 2012.

(This Q & A is my favorite. Seems to me no body thought about this fact during all this talk of the Mayans calender ending on December 21)

Q: Does the Mayan calendar end in December 2012?

A: Just as the calendar you have on your kitchen wall does not cease to exist after December 31, the Mayan calendar does not cease to exist on December 21, 2012. This date is the end of the Mayan long-count period but then -- just as your calendar begins again on January 1 -- another long-count period begins for the Mayan calendar.

So you see people we are all good. Go ahead and make your new years resolutions, plan your next year life changes and relax your minds and let your conscious be free. Thank the lord for another year and keep it moving. God bless.

  1. Well done Maurice - a great post debunking this nonsense. Life is too good to be worrying about the end of the world. Live life as it is and be happy. :)
